In the heart of Paradise - Glenorchy, New Zealand
What if there was a way to work at the speed of a disruptive start-up without losing your enterprise-scale advantage?
Are you looking to make real, sustainable cost savings in your business operations that won’t kill customer experience?
Deliver Faster At Less Cost
Simplify Your Operations
Prioritise for Maximum Impact
Unleash Your True Potential
You round the corner on a lazy drive from Queenstown and all of a sudden it hits you. A breathtaking valley opens up so unexpectedly that it nearly knocks the air out of your chest and all time seems to stop for an instant.

There’s a power and a deep intense beauty in this place that unabashedly carves out your interior and then hits you with the big questions.

It’s radical realignment and ruthless sloughing of the unimportant and in the shock of it somewhere you feel wonder, strength, peace like you haven’t had in months and it’s ELECTRIC.

There’s no distractions here, nowhere to stuff things in cracks unnoticed, frankly there probably won’t even be cell coverage given the size of the wilderness. This is the *perfect* place to get to what’s really going on, and you can hear your spirit calling.

Welcome home.
Once a year we welcome a small group of travellers to a very special part of the world for a deep dive into personal and professional growth.
The Mount Aspiring National Park is the PERFECT place to spend 5 incredible days in the company of a select handful of CEOs and Executives who are bent on building an inspired, purpose-driven and wildly fulfilling future for their companies.
And right now, you can be one of the ten in 2020

Here's how it works...
You'll spend 5 incredible days (and 6 star-studded nights) masterminding your business and enjoying yourself on an alpine wilderness adventure:
  • By the end of this retreat, you will have at your fingertips the tools to refine your processes and systems with seemingly limitless possibility for improvement.
  • We’ll show you how to identify waste in your organisation and do the work that has meaningful impact for customers - so no matter the challenge you can zero in on what’s really important and ruthlessly prioritise for maximum impact.
  • You’ll discover how to let go of long-held structures that no longer serve you in today’s fast paced environment.
  • You’ll learn to lead at speed, develop your personal resilience and uplift your threshold for dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity - turning it into competitive advantage that allows your company to move faster than you ever imagined.
  • Immersed in New Zealand’s stunning wilderness landscape you’ll have the chance to understand and test your own limits physically, emotionally, intellectually. The result? Awareness, deep self knowledge and the confidence that comes with knowing when you’re playing in your box and when you’re ready to step outside it.
  • We’ll teach you the secrets of remaining present and grounded so you can be WITH people no matter the chaos around.
  • After working with our communication specialists, you’ll show up authentically, navigate the organisation and not lose the integrity of your message. Coupled with laser-like focus on customer value, you’ll be unstoppable.

We love what we do and we believe your experience will be a powerful one. If you attend the full course and are dissatisfied with the retreat, we will refund your payment in full.

One of the top 3 eye opening experiences of my life, this is 21st century leadership. Highly recommended is an understatement!

Thank you for creating something so wonderful. For my whole adult life I've been searching for evidence that I was not alone in thinking that large-scale business could be led through a connection to people and place.

  • You’re daydreaming of a way to cut through the complexity, get to the meaningful work and build something bigger than yourself

  • You care deeply about your team and deep down you *know* there’s a way to get the job done without compromising your own values
  • You wanna knock it outta the park with some kick-ass business hacks that’ll have them mouth-open-sit-down-stunned-can’t-get-enough of what you’re capable of
  • You’re curious just how far you could go, given the right environment and the right support (including the difficult questions)
  • You’re both excited and nervous about this trip!

Who will NOT benefit from this retreat?

  • Anyone who’s strongly invested in maintaining the status quo, being a victim of circumstance or being right instead of fulfilled and happy
  • Anyone who’s not prepared to do their own inner work and overcome their own beliefs
  • Anyone who’s unwilling to make an investment in themselves because they don’t think they’re worth it
  • Anyone who thinks we have a magic wand and will “fix” them, rather than getting the support they need to change
  • Anyone who isn’t willing to take a leap of faith

About Queenstown

Ok, so as a kiwi I’m biased, but you have to admit, New Zealand is *stunningly* beautiful. A country of incredibly diverse habitats - from alpine to desert to rainforest - Aotearoa, the “land of the long white cloud” is a cacophony of microclimates, showcasing four seasons in one day.

They say the only constant in life is change, and that life thrives at the edges - well that’s this little collection of volcanic islands in a nutshell.

And we have THE pick of the bunch for you. If you had to name one iconic New Zealand township, Queenstown and the surrounding lakes region would be it - this is Lord of the Rings country where every vista looks like a postcard.

You’ll be doing your best work surrounded by picturesque scenery at every turn, with a group of passionate, high performing individuals you’re now lucky enough to call friend.

Imagine sitting back after the day of adventure with a local Pinot Noir or craft beer, grounded and smiling, watching the mountains change pink and orange... reflecting on how good it feels to be lined up, and bringing your whole self to your work. Satisfaction in the bones is hard to beat.

Who's Teaching?

Because if we're going to spend a week together...
Danelle Jones is an enterprise transformation executive coach and founder of tribe Leadership Retreats. She’s passionate about leadership development, nerds out on communication theory and trust models and good luck prying her away from wild mountains and the great outdoors.

Her hands-on experience leading multi-million dollar organisational transformation programs and eclectic approach is prized by clients for finding pathways into truthful insight and self development that gets right to the core without sacrificing a playful, creative approach. She loves nothing more than getting down and dirty in the trenches with clients and all the richness of complexity that goes along with big endeavours.

Little known facts about Danelle: She holds a degree in architecture, is a volunteer rural firefighter and has been buddies with “Chief” (her retreat co-teacher and head of Equine Operations at tribe) for over 20 years.

Hang on, I've still got questions.
Wait what are the dates again?
Arrival Day is Sunday 1 November and we have 5 days of teaching lined up for you starting Monday 2nd thru Friday 6th of November 2020.

How do I get there?
Our venue is a 45-60 minute drive from Queenstown Airport to Kinloch. There will be one airport pick up on arrival day (Sunday 1 November) and one airport drop off on departure day (Saturday 7 November) included (if you arrive at an odd time we can arrange pickup at an extra charge).

What should I pack?
Dress code is casual business, bring with you comfortable clothes for a casual setting with peers from diverse organisational backgrounds. You'll also need clothing for gentle stretching in the morning and outdoor hiking-type activities. Please do ensure you bring warm clothes as temperatures can drop unexpectedly in an alpine climate, or alternatively swimmers for the hot tub also work (but it's a cold streak down the hill back to the room). Please pack at least one pair of closed-toe walking shoes.

What's the climate like?
During November, in spring, you can expect temperatures to range between 8-22C (46-72F) as the area eases into long summer evenings. An alpine climate, weather can be changeable and it is always best to be prepared for the sometimes sudden drops in temperature. Snow is rare on the ground in the township even in winter when the ski fields are at their peak. You can read more about Queenstown's climate and seasons here.

Do I need a travel visa?
Please check visa requirements for your stay through New Zealand Immigration here. If you have any questions we would be happy to assist.

How fit do I need to be?
We cater for all bodies and all levels of mobility. We fundamentally believe these techniques should be available to all and we are happy to work with you to ensure everyone has a chance to participate in a meaningful way. If you have any questions please reach out.

We build our programs assuming that you are able to work through a one hour beginner's yoga class, could walk comfortably for a 2-3 hour gentle trail hike, or perhaps an hour swimming in the lake is more your style. We also cater for ultrarunners and handstand yogis, wheelchair access and differing learning habits.

How do I convince the boss?
If you're seeking funding, or the time off work to participate, our employer support kit helps you to structure a conversation with your boss and peers about what you're up to and what the benefits will be.
